My birthday was celebrated recently and the amount of unpublished photos on Flickr has reached a dangerous high.

New resolution: I hereby state that I’ll publish one album per week until I’m done with them. So be it!

Ahhrgh! There’s more than 500 pictures!

Advertisers have a crush on you

Crushed pomegranate

Although Facebook applications are the real value of this social networking platform, it’s still important to exercise caution as to what application you’re about to install.

Remember the “Secret Crush” application? This was a widget claiming to reveal who among your virtual friends is your secret admirer.

It seems that a web advertisement firm used it to lure users to install an adware on their computer and many did!

Not the first and certainly not the last… Be careful my friends :-p

The Mountain of Fire

Overshadowed by the clouds, the thin air frozen,
Whenever that happens, it's as if winter came,
Still there's a warm light shaping the world around me,
I'm good, and you?

Paul Tobey – Tinnitus and the Angry Factor

November 14th, 2007
Paul Tobey playing the piano

Paul Tobey is a pianist, famous in some circles but that's not the reason for writing this. He's managed to make his way through the long and enduring experience of Tinnitus.

The Tinnitus is the perception of a ringing sound in the human ear in the absence of a corresponding external sound. Although his website outputs a mostly promotional marketing content (after all, he's a professional music performer), he also shares the fruit of his own reflections after overcoming this troubling syndrome. Far from being diminished by it, he came out stronger and deserves our attention.

I sincerely recommend the reading of this article: Tinnitus and the Angry Factor

Optus One Year Celebration

November 7th, 2007
20071102 - 20 - Sydney - Optus One-Year Celebration

With the help of another co-worker, I organised a dinner in the city to celebrate the first anniversary of our work at Optus.

Even though few of us have actually worked there all that time ^^;

20071102 - 08 - Sydney - Optus One-Year Celebration - A big piece of meat in a dish

The Lowenbrau Keller restaurant, in the Rocks.

German meaty recipes are their speciality as you can tell in the picture. Good quality I guess, but I only had some veggie salad so I can’t really tell.
